Regarding Rihanna’s fragrance wardrobe, we can admit that she has experience creating scents. In 2010, she launched Reb’l Fleur, her debut fragrance. She later created a few flankers and other scents, including Rogue and Riri. They were all pleasant, but they all belonged to the category of “celebrity fragrances” as we know it today. No shadows.
The next generation of Rihanna’s fragrances—which are sold under the broader Fenty brand rather than Fenty Beauty—was unveiled with the release of Fenty Eau De Parfum. If nothing else, this serves as a more general indicator of things to come. Fenty has only just begun.
The aroma is strong. Bold smells may not seem to be in trend right now, but since Rihanna says so, they are. It’s fantastic. It’s enormous, spicy, earthy, sweet, and warm; it’s everything I like in a scent, and I’m not just saying that because I like Rihanna. It makes its presence known and makes no apologies.
Fenty EDP truly hits home for me. It isn’t easy to pin down. It has the aroma of a leather jacket at a whiskey bar. It smells like walking into someone’s apartment after swearing off for good. It smells like burning flowers.

Fenty Perfume is contained in an amber-brown glass bottle that was custom-made to fit Rihanna’s hand. “I wanted a rich color that represented all genders and all walks of life.” My favorite color is brown. I am a brown person. My ancestors are brown. “If I’m going to create a fragrance that represents me, even the bottle’s body language has to match,” she adds.

There’s something delina-ish about the opening. Over a fruity-floral accord is a sharp, spicy note. A tad bit like alcohol? It smells kind of generic and is a confusing blend of several perfumes I’ve smelled in the past. Delina is my least favorite, with its sharp, spiced rhubarb opening being my favorite. Regretfully, I also don’t like this opening.
The smell then starts to develop and becomes more like something I might enjoy. The feeling of alcohol (or is it the blueberry?) is still present. However, a lovely, dewy, wet rose soon appears. It pierces through the opening’s sharp edge and tastes fresh with a hint of powder. The perfume’s transitional phase is particularly perplexing because it simultaneously evokes and tugs at multiple memories. It smells like a hair product from my childhood and is a dewy rose with a freshness that reminds me of MFK’s A la Rose with a Delina depth. However, it is also getting more and more vanilla.
The confusion is centering around two concepts as the dry-down approaches and the patchouli takes over: the rose accord and the vanilla–patchouli–musk combination, which is starting to remind me of MFK’s oud satin mood. No, this is not an oud. However, there is a woodsy aspect to the patchouli. At last, the rose gradually becomes darker and melds with the patchouli, culminating in a vanillic rose–patchouli finish that evokes the essence of oud satin.
Fenty Beauty Perfume Performance:
The longevity of the Fenty scent was on point! For me, it lasted a total of 9 hours on a busy day. I’m sure it would have been less if I was sweating and more if I was just chilling. But 9 hours should be enough for anybody; if you need more time, just simply reapply.
The Fenty perfume sillage lasts for a long time, even after the initial application. Its strong projection can still be detected several hours later, leaving a lingering trail of the captivating scent. This long-lasting sillage of Fenty perfume ensures that you’ll continue to receive compliments throughout the day, making it a perfect choice for any occasion.
Overall, Fenty Eau de perfume has a sophisticated aroma that lasts all day. Since it kind of takes inspiration from other well-known niche perfumes, I don’t think it’s really distinctive or unique. However, this is a solid debut product from the brand. Although I detest the entrance, I adore the middle notes and the dry down because I am a huge fan of roses.

I wanted Fenty Eau de Parfum to embody all that I am and everything I’m experiencing, so I developed it. I did, however, want it to do that for everyone else as well. I adore fragrance most for that reason. It has to do with memories brought up by smell. To various people, each of these notes may have a distinct meaning. That seems powerful to me because it’s like my whole being in a bottle. You’re revealing that essence to the world when you wear Fenty Eau de Parfum. That is strong, attractive, and sincere.
