Best Givenchy L’Interdit EDP Intense Review + Description

L'Interdit EDP Intense highlights:

L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Intense by Givenchy is a women’s Amber Floral scent. L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Intense debuted in 2020. Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo, and Fanny Bal co-created L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Intense. The top note is black pepper; the middle notes are tuberose, sesame, and orange blossom; the base notes are Madagascar vanilla, patchouli, and vetiver.

This fragrance is known for its captivating and alluring composition, combining the warmth of amber with delicate floral notes. The addition of black pepper adds a touch of spice, while the combination of tuberose, sesame, and orange blossom creates a rich and sensual heart. The fragrance is then beautifully grounded by the creamy Madagascar vanilla, earthy patchouli, and woody vetiver in the base notes, leaving a lasting impression.

L'Interdit EDP Intense reviews:

Givenchy’s classic L’Interdit edition, which was initially introduced in 1957, was successfully redesigned and modernized in 2018, and it quickly became highly popular on the market.

L’Interdit Eau de Parfum became the brand’s new contemporary cornerstone in 2018, while L’Interdit Eau de Toilette debuted in 2019. Two unique ‘couture’ versions were released in 2019 and 2020, respectively, while aficionados of hair mists may now enjoy the newest L’Interdit Hair Mist as of spring 2020. Givenchy has also launched a L’Interdit Solid Perfume beginning this spring.

But there’s a new youngster in town! The new L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Intense edition’s initial notes are frigid, harsh, and spicy, with no fruity notes of pear or bergamot. The black peppery beginning leads to a combination of narcotic tuberose and orange blossom, complemented by the spicy and smoky smells of roasted black sesame. The base is woody and earthy from vetiver and patchouli, with leathery Madagascar vanilla providing a rich oriental layer to showcase the blooms.

Presentation

The Packaging and Fragrance bottle of L’interdit Intense: The packaging of L’interdit Intense showcases a sleek and sophisticated design, with a black and gold color scheme that exudes elegance. The fragrance bottle itself is equally stunning, featuring a bold and angular shape that adds a modern touch to the classic scent. Its dark glass construction not only protects the fragrance from light but also adds to the overall allure of the presentation. With its captivating packaging and intoxicating scent, L’Interdit Intense is sure to become a must-have for perfume enthusiasts seeking a bolder and more intense olfactory experience.

The design of the flacon is extremely attractive and eye-catching in a new black, glossy form. The glass bottle is colored from the inside, following the trend inspired by nail polish flacons, with a heavy and transparent glass bottom and a black lacquered cap. The 4G logo of the Maison engraved on the silver plate looks impressive in contrast with the black glass, while the tightly tied black ribbon gives a formal impression.

Notes:

Top Notes: Black Pepper

Heart Notes: Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Roasted Black Sesame

Base Notes: Patchouli, Vetiver, Bourbon Vanilla from Madagascar

black L’Interdit Intense has grown as a person and, in my opinion, has become more “expensive,” but it has lost the prior one’s delightful aspect of surprise and individuality. The vivid orange flower is also there, with its volume dialed up to a berry-like sweetness (the note that was so exquisite in its predecessor that it was silly), and the blooms are painstakingly coated with costly black varnish.

If the sesame is what it claims to be, it gives the flowery scent depth and a smug sense of contentment. It has evolved into an acceptable scent for regular, large-scale events and frequently exposed, soigné shoulders. Dark, thick, urgent, and brilliant, with opulent flowers and fruits lacquered over an exquisite amber foundation. Beautiful and costly.

I adore orange flowers, therefore that’s a significant preference for me. One significant distinction is the presence of sesame. The note is somewhat nutty and plays a fascinating function in the composition, as there is no fruity note and the patchouli is toned down.

Performance:

Sillage-wise, this is a powerful fragrance. It has a strong start and regularly produces an above-average fragrance trail for the majority of its use. Not the strongest on the market, but excellent for a popular designer fragrance.

The lasting of L’interdit Intense is also impressive. 9 hours on a bad day. On almost every other occasion, I work for more than ten hours. The performance with EDP Intense is excellent and one of the perfume’s strongest points.

The EDP Intense version of this perfume truly enhances its performance and longevity, making it one of the standout features of this fragrance. With its impressive sillage and lasting power, it easily competes with higher-end niche fragrances. Overall, the combination of its captivating composition and exceptional performance makes this popular designer fragrance a worthwhile investment for fragrance enthusiasts.

Where and When?

This is a denser aroma that is better suited to fall and winter. I’d avoid warmer temps because this one shines best when it’s chilly outside.

While this may be used throughout the day, it is more beautiful or sexy at night (similar to Rouge vs. EDP). Although it has a sultry and dark aspect, it may not be suitable for everyday use.

However, for special occasions or evenings out, this fragrance adds a touch of sophistication and allure. Its alluring blend of notes creates an air of mystery and sensuality, making it perfect for romantic encounters or glamorous events. Just a few sprays of this fragrance will leave a lasting impression on those around you, making it a must-have for any fragrance collection.
