Polo Black Reviews:
Let’s put our pre-judgments aside and discuss Ralph Lauren’s Polo Black Sexy, Fresh and Enchanting aroma more.
I want to discuss Ralph Lauren’s Polo Black in my review today. Since its 2005 introduction, this men’s fragrance has seen a fair level of success. It produced Polo Double Black as its lone flanker, but it never appeared to reimagine the Red or Blue smells in the same way.
As usual, I’ll discuss how it works, what it smells like, when to wear it, and whether or not I believe it’s worth the money. Note: Years after the initial review, I’m revising and adding to it and giving this fragrance more time.
The most dynamic element of Polo Black, in my opinion, is its opening act. A fascinating progression and contrast between wood, spices, and fruits is presented. The cologne then turns into much more of a linear affair.
Mango, tonka bean, sandalwood, and citrus as a backdrop are the ingredients. This Ralph Lauren scent starts to lose its sweetness and reveal more of its dry, woody note with time.
Ralph Lauren’s Polo Black is known for three words: Enigmatic, charming, and Black.

Polo Black Cologne Presentation:
et me tell you something frankly about Polo’s sensual fragrance of the decade for men. Guys, if you are in love with decent, classy, and masculine black color. If you are madly in love with a qualified black and bitter taste (not in a bad way) of an aroma. Then, there will be no reason NOT buying Ralph Lauren Polo Black, just on the bottle itself.
Polo’s iconic flask inspired the classy black bottle. Polo Black is a black suit with muscular shoulders and a silver cap and pony that is as confident and powerful as the man who wears it. It exudes sophistication and elegance.
Polo Black is inside a black glass–shining bottle, and the size of the bottle varies depending on how much Polo EDT you need and buy. It is a luxurious and sophisticated fragrance, so the silvered emblem of Ralph Lauren shines in the center of the fragrance bottle to guarantee the attributes and quality of the scent.
The black glass bottle not only adds to the overall aesthetic appeal but also helps protect the fragrance from light and heat, ensuring its longevity. The attention to detail in the design, from the muscular shoulders to the silver cap and emblem, reflects the brand’s commitment to creating a truly luxurious experience for its wearers.
And about the boxing, it is clear that the brand has spared no expense in creating a product that exudes power and sophistication. The sleek and sturdy boxing, adorned with the brand’s signature logo, further enhances the luxurious presentation of the fragrance. It not only adds to the overall experience of unboxing but also serves as a perfect gift option for those seeking a high-end fragrance.

Ralph Lauren Polo Black Notes:
Top notes include iced mango, Spanish sage, “green effervescent accord”, and Wormwood.
Silver armoise, “lush liquid accord”, and hedione in the middle.
Patchouli noir, sandalwood, timberol, Tonka bean form the base.
It is not the same as Polo Double Black in terms of tact. Compared to its flanker scent’s darker coffee and spice notes, this one remains much brighter. The way the sage counterbalances the mango, which is a pretty unusual choice for a fruit note in a men’s cologne, intrigues me greatly.
In addition to the mango, this one also has tangerine, which is present in the beginning and lends it an additional tropical appeal. The juicy citrus and mango combine to give Polo Black a refreshing and invigorating watery scent.
The earthy and herbal spices add a little depth at first, but they never overpower the fruit notes or even come close to matching their intensity.
The woodsy notes start to stand out more during the dry-down phase. I notice the Tonka bean note, which is one of my favorite notes, along with the familiar and smooth sandalwood note.
Furthermore, the tangerine and lemon are still present in some amount, which gives the top layer an extra zesty citrus flavor. Though not the main draw, the citrus is excellent and a welcome addition.

Polo Black Perfume Performance:
lthough Polo Black has decent projection, it ISN’T particularly outstanding in that area. Though it usually lasts longer than Double Black, which on my skin only lasts 4-5 hours, the longevity is likewise moderate.
But in terms of application, Black isn’t a beast—at least not for me. Maybe six or seven hours. Expect neither its sillage nor its staying power to make it a complete monster. However, it is a very strong cologne that is perfectly wearable.
This fragrance has the interesting quality of being somewhat of a year-round scent. It is more suitable for wearing in the fall and winter, but it still functions fairly well in the summer.
This fragrance is similar to a “dressy” casual, in that it can be worn out if necessary, but it still works well for work and school. It does have a good amount of adaptability.
Is the fragrance appealing? Yes, this one seems to be very popular with women. It is flattering and can be a great option for younger guys to wear on dates and other social occasions. Wearing Polo Black isn’t going to be controversial because it’s the kind of fragrance that appeals to most people.
